Revlon Skinlights Custom Lipcolours – Rose Quartz

I was presented this every bit a wedding gift past my cousin and due to more makeup than I ever used in my life, this ws pushed to the back of my vanity kit. A recent cleaning bout got it of oblivion and it has been receiving love always since . 🙂

Since this was a gift and was purchased during her international travels, I exercise non know the price. I do know that this was non available in India till nigh a month ago. If it was launched mail that, someone enlighten me… I would honey to cheque out other palettes like this.

The palette has 4 Colour Dip pans, one Lip Furnishings pan and 1 Colourglaze pan. Information technology has a mirror and a small lip brush likewise. All of this is housed in a grayness plastic casing and sealed with a transparent plastic encompass. This is how it looks from the forepart.

Pans numbered two to 4 are Color Dips, 1 is the Colorglaze and vi is the Lip Effects. Bank check out the swatches.

These are single swipe of each pan made with the castor that came along. See how pigmented the colours are? Colourglaze and Lip effects work as glosses. While Lip Furnishings simply adds smooth, colourglaze adds a heavy doze of shimmer to the already shimmery colours. So girls, if shimmer is not your cup of tea, yous must steer clear of this. But if similar me, you don't mind shimmer, this is a wonderful lip palette to have. I tin can too get very sheer on application using a very light hand. They give the effect of tinten lip balm in that case.
The best part about this palette is that yous tin can mix and friction match colours. I mixed 3 and 5 to get a rosy brown and 1 and 2 for a tined downwards red. I was expecting coralish color out of ii and 4 simply that did not happen. So yous see, the possibilities are endless… and u become a new colour everytime ☺ The staying power of these is decent. Information technology lasts me 3-iv hours with a coffee and some munching though it does fade a bit. But then, that is expected if you eat and drinkable.
The palette is very handy to behave along but the snap lock may non survive a ladies pocketbook! With tons of other stuff around information technology, the lock can snap open up and contaminate your product and spoil the bag….! The mirror is skillful enough when you need to do affect ups or re apply. But you can not see your full face in it; simply the lips. The brush is ok as well. It hasn't fanned out or shed too much and so far. I have no base for comparison as I exercise not take a lip brush from any branded company.

ane. You go 4 colors and two glosses. You can Mix and Lucifer them, creating many more lip colours. This is a perfect travel accompaniment. To ensure that the lock does non snap open, I have a velvet pouch that I stuff this in when I carry information technology.

three. It lasts better than your average Lotus and Lakme lipsticks but less than all twenty-four hour period long ones. Decent lasting power
4. The product is quite moisturizing and does non need a balm underneath
v. Though the swatches are pigmented, it goes relatively sheer on my lips and I tin can build information technology upto the amount I want.
6. There is a decent amount of product and I don't see me hit the pan anytime soon
Dislikes –
1. Not available in India (The Biggest Con)
2. Mixing colours to get an verbal shade you lot desire needs practice and can be frustrating if yous are in a hurry. This is not your go-to production for the 10 minute dash!
3. All the colours are quite shimmery. Though I do non listen it all that much, I would have preferred at least 1 of the four lip colours to be non shimmery. I can always use the gloss to add together shimmer
4. In that location is no ingredient listing mentioned on the case. It came packed in a plastic wrapping and that did not have any of information technology also.
5. I find it easy to piece of work with a lipstick that I tin can only slather on and move. Painting my lips with a brush requires a lot of effort IMO! Yep yeah, lazy gal I know. 😉

Overall, I like the product for being a lip palette with a twist and give it 3.5 stars on five. I have deducted 0.5 for lack of ingredients and another 0.5 for it not being bachelor in India. The other 0.5 is for all of the other cons put together.
